Flathead County Republican Officers and general duties
Chairman or Chairwomen1) Call and conduct monthly executive and central committee meetings 2) Primary liaison between county central committee and State Party or multi county candidates /campaigns. 3) Organizes and oversees committee?s for major events i.e., Lincoln Day, Governors dinner, fair booth and parade. 4) Primary liaison with leadership of the Republican women?s club, Pachyderm, and Young Republicans. 5) Works with other members of the executive committee with their duties. 6) Works with local candidates / campaigns. 7) In general sets the tone and direction of the county party 8) Spokesman for the Party with the media. 9) Votes in State Officers and platform planks at the State convention. Vice-Chairman or Chairwomen1) Assists chairman/women with their duties. 2) Assumes duties of Ch airman/women in case when he/she are unavailable or if the position is vacated. 3) Helps organize party events, ie: Lincoln Day IF ONE OF THESE OFFICERS IS MALE THE OTHER IS FEMALESecretary1) Sets up the time and place for meetings and sends out notices to the membership of the County Central Committee 2) Reports the minutes of previous meetings 3) Keeps the minutes of meetings Treasurer1) Pay authorized expenses 2) Keeps list of contributors for party, state and county requirements 3) Keep list of party expenses for county, state and county requirements and reports to the Commissioner of Practices and the County Election Department. 4) Keep financial books in correct order Finance Chairman/women1) Primary fund raiser for the Central Committee 2) Votes in State officers and platform planks at the State Convention State Committee man/women1) Acts as liaison between U.S. Senate campaigns and the County Central Committee 2) Helps the U.S. Senate campaigns organize events in the County 3) Votes in the State Officers an platform planks at the State convention Congressional Committeeman/women1) Acts as liaison between U.S. Congressional campaigns and the County Central Committee 2) Helps the U.S. Congressional campaigns organize events in the County
